In the beginning of the summer I recorded for the soundtrack of a short animation, “Beren op de Weg”, the graduation project of Nadia Meezen<\/a> from the Willem de Kooning Academie in Delft. The music is by Bas Bouma<\/a>, one of the organizers of the Pale Blue Dot<\/a> project I worked on in 2014 and have since done other work with. The music features the clarinet quite prominently as the solo melody instrument.<\/p>\n “Beren op de Weg” (Bears on the Road) is a Dutch expression, and the film is about Theo, an average man who lives a happy life and who loves his little yellow car. One morning he is driving down the road when suddenly he sees a bear lying on the road. He tries to evade the bear but by doing so he crashes into a tree. From then on he starts seeing bears everywhere around him, scaring him to even get out of his house..<\/p>\n Its already been shown at the Nederlands Film Festival<\/a> at the end of September 2014, as well as the Animage International Animation Festival<\/a> in Pernambuco, Brazil, and will also be shown at the Klik! Amsterdam Animation Festival<\/a> in November!
